The Circle Volunteer Role
Circles is a simple concept that can have an enormous impact in preventing future victims of sexual offences, keeping communities safe and supporting core members to integrate into their community in a safe and productive way.
Are you interested in keeping your community safe?
Do you enjoy working with people?
Are you willing to give someone a second chance?
Do you have good communication and team work skills?
A group of between 4-6 volunteers will form a Circle around one core member. The Circle will meet initially on a weekly basis. Volunteers will support their core member to identify safe and appropriate activities to engage in, support to settle into their local community and safely reintegrate to this. They will also hold the core member accountable for any concerning behaviours or attitudes that he displays.
Volunteers will receive regular supervision and support from their local Circles Coordinator and the opportunity of on-going training.
If you would like to be involved but cannot commit to a Circle please do still get in touch and tell us what you can do for us. Spread awareness? Fundraising? We are always looking for people with new ideas who support our mission of ‘no more victims’ to join our team.
